Got a letter from Liberty Mutual telling me I wasn't good enough for them

to insure for a few reasons and to write back to get the info on why. I actually thought it was a scam letter to get info so I called them and after being shuffled around the phone to several no's, I was finally able to get an answer. I had a water pipe break 2 years ago and some water damage. Made no difference I spent $10K to have the whole house repiped to get rid of the crappy piping installed by the builder. Sooo, agent said they could insure the house, but not for any water "flow back" and she called it. Then proceeded to give me a quote of $1900 per year. I laughed and told her that was more than twice what I was paying with Farmers. I really just wanted to know what the reason was I was turned down in the first place. What a joke. Funny thing is I don't even remember asking for a quote in the first place. I guess that contributed to my thinking it might be a scam. Cant be too careful these days:)
